This policy outlines our approach to measuring, managing, and minimizing our carbon footprint in alignment with current legislation and best environmental practices.
This policy applies to all operations of Care Line Recruitment, including:
Scope 1: Direct GHG emissions from company-owned or controlled sources.
Scope 2: Indirect GHG emissions from the generation of purchased electricity consumed by the company.
Scope 3: Other indirect emissions that occur throughout the value chain, including business travel, waste disposal, and supplier-related activities.
Care Line Recruitment complies with all relevant environmental regulations, including:
Climate Change Act 2008: Supporting the UK’s legally binding carbon budgets and commitment to net-zero by 2050.
Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR): Reporting annual energy consumption, carbon emissions, and efficiency measures.
Companies (Directors’ Report) and Limited Liability Partnerships (Amendment) Bill 2019: Ensuring transparent disclosure of energy use and carbon emissions, where applicable.
We measure our emissions using the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting in line with SECR guidelines. Our calculations are based on the UK Government’s Greenhouse Gas Conversion Factors for Company Reporting and are reviewed annually to assess progress and performance.
Care Line Recruitment is committed to continuous improvement in sustainability through the following goals:
Short-Term Goal: Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 10% within the next 3 years.
Long-Term Goal: Achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
These targets are reviewed annually to track progress and update objectives as needed.
To achieve our carbon reduction targets, we will implement the following strategies:
Energy Efficiency: Upgrade to energy-efficient lighting, equipment, and optimize heating and cooling systems.
Renewable Energy: Transition to renewable energy sources where possible.
Sustainable Travel: Encourage public transport, carpooling, cycling, walking, and virtual meetings to reduce travel emissions.
Waste Management: Reduce, reuse, and recycle to minimize waste-related emissions.
Sustainable Supply Chain: Collaborate with suppliers and partners to promote low-carbon practices across the supply chain.
Board of Directors: Oversee and approve the implementation of this policy.

All Employees: Adopt environmentally responsible behaviors and participate in sustainability initiatives.
This carbon policy will be reviewed annually to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and alignment with evolving legislation. Updates and progress reports will be shared through the company’s annual sustainability statement.
This policy will be published on Care Line Recruitment’s website and communicated to all employees, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to promote transparency, accountability, and shared responsibility for our environmental goals.
